But, unlike them, the invention of a Ukrainian can automatically translate voice and text messages to a person on any of 14 popular languages.
For two weeks the app downloaded nearly 10,000 times. The entrepreneur expects that by September the number of downloads will increase to 100,000. For comparison - the number of downloads via Skype Ukrainian Android Market has reached 1.22 million, Viber - 1,78 million
According to Konovalov, Droid Translator - the world's first VoIP-service with automatic interpretation. "In Skype is a function of interpretation, but it works as a conference call with a live interpreter and costs $ 3 per minute," - says the founder of the service.
The beta version of its application is free, and the translation is carried out almost instantaneously (in Skype live interpretation of each phrase can take up to 45 seconds). In the future, the company will upgrade the translation system and will add 12 more languages, Konovalov plans to charge for downloading the application of $ 5. In addition to simultaneous translation, the full version will record conversations and store transcripts of conversations in a separate file.
Creator Droid Translator plans to earn not only on simultaneous translation via its own VoIP-service. He is ready to offer automatic simultaneous translator for the owners of Android-smartphone, which is used for communication Skype. To transfer from a third-party service work, you need to connect your smartphone to a small device smaller than a stick. Designed Konovalov gadget connects to smartphones via micro-USB connector and will only work with devices that support the USB-host. Now businessman adjusts production units in China and plans to start selling in October for $ 15-18 apiece.
