In Odessa opened IV Odessa International Film Festival. The grand opening was held at the Odessa National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet.
The red carpet, the length of 80 meters, were stars of Ukrainian and world cinema. Among them: the directors Krzysztof Zanussi and Kira Muratova, actors George Deliev, Boris Barsky, Oleg Shkolnik, Oleg Filimonov, Irina Apeksimova, Gosha Kutsenko, Hope Meyher and the legendary Emir Kusturica.
The official opening ceremony were popular TV personalities Ukrainian Alexei Sukhanov and Masha Efrosinina.
Selected for the international competition strip 11 directors from the U.S., UK, Israel, Georgia, Italy, Poland, Germany, Romania, France, India, Russia and Ukraine. At the national film award claim 4 full-length movie in the section, including the biopic "Parajanov," and 12 short.
